Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving! We will be packing up and heading out of town tomorrow for the beautiful scenery of Tennessee! I can't wait! I must say that packing for a 4 month old for a 6 day trip has not been the easiest thing I have ever done. Overwhelming - yes! This will be the longest trip (8 hours) that Cale has made. Be praying for us! I think he will do just fine, but you never really know with a little one. I will post once we return to let you know how he does....and I will have plenty of pics I am sure!

My hubby

So, most of you know that my husband is a high school football coach. That means that for 12 weeks during the fall I have no husband. He has practice everyday(not getting home until around 7), games on Friday, and coach's meetings on Saturday morning (yes, I said Saturday!). Needless to say, I have not known what to do with myself this week. Football is officially over and I have my husband back. I has been wonderful. I get to come home and have help with Cale!!! I think that the nicest part is that he is here to watch Cale while I cook dinner. Cooking and trying to entertain a 3 1/2 month old is no easy task. I like cooking, but I dreaded it before because it was so hard to do both. I have cooked a lot this past week. I even cooked tonight (I never cook on the weekends!). We even made a trip to Kingsland this afternoon. That never happened during football season. By the time Saturday afternoons arrived, Bryan was too tired to want to go and do anything. I am really glad it is over and Bryan is home more. I love when we get to spend time together as a family. And I am looking forward to much more of that!

Football is OVER!!!!

High school football is officially OVER!!!! I now have my husband back! Just thought I would share that :)

Sweet Boys

On Tuesday, since we had no school, we loaded up and head to town. Brody and Caleb (my nephews) both have birthdays coming up and I needed a baby shower gift. So where better to go than the new Babies R Us and Toys R Us combo store at the town center. Bryan was excited about going to Toys R Us because, as we all know, he is a big kid himself! It was nice that they are connected because Bryan was able to cruise through the toys while I gathered the things I needed.

Since we were in town, of course we had to meet up with Nana. She needed a Cale fix and some sweet sugar. She met us while we were still shopping. From there we decided to go to dinner. We tried Cantino Lareno (I think that is what it was called). It was "gourmet Mexican food". It was the type of Mexican I can handle. We both enjoyed it, but I think Bryan would have licked his plate if I would have let him. He ate every last bite. It was good, but I wouldn't have went that far :)

On the way home we decided to stop by Jason and Jenny's, which we almost always do anytime that we go to town. Don't know why we do, it just always happens. Brody was thrilled to see "Na" (Uncle Bryan) but could had cared less that "Tatah" and "Baby Tale" were there. In the midst of the visit, Cale ended up chilling in the recliner. That is when Brody thought he would go check things out. It didn't last long and Brody was not thrilled about the camera, but we were able to get a couple pictures of our two sweet boys!

Having Tuesday off definitely messed my week all up, but we had a great day together as a family!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Daddy's birthday. I have surprised myself with how well I have held it together. I think I have been more emotional the past several days leading up to it than I have been today. Cale and I took a trip to the cemetery today. I am ashamed to admit this is my first trip. It has been something I just couldn't make myself do. I know that he is not there, but it was just something I couldn't do. It is still hard for me to think he is gone. I often want to pick up the phone and call him or go by and see him. I still think about him everyday and miss him dearly! Happy Birthday Daddy!

Double Trouble

We were finally able to get together with Garrett and Lara and Baby Jack this week! We have not seen them in a LONG time. It is hard because they are in North Carolina and we are here. And when they can come home, it is usually for short trips and they spend their time with the family. But this trip we were able to get together for just a couple of hours last night and let the boys meet and play. If they turn out anything like their dads, it will be double trouble!

Florida / Georgia Game

As always, we went to Jason and Jenny's for the FL/GA game. Let me just say GO GATORS!!!!! We had a great time with lots of food and entertainment (Brody and Brayden). It was a great day. We were talking about how next year Cale will be running around with the other boys.....it is crazy to think that. He is growing so fast!

Cale and Kaylee Grace

My friend Heather and her little girl Kaylee Grace came over on Saturday to take pictures. Cale and Kaylee Grace are only 3 weeks apart and they both had pumpkin outfits. They were so cute!

Halloween....

Halloween festivities started on Thursday for Cale. He joined in the fun at the preschool for Marc's (Ms. Katie's son) Halloween party. So I sent him in his "So Cute its Scary" outfit!

Then on Halloween we dressed him in his "My 1st Halloween" outfit. We took pictures in the morning before going to Ms. Katie's because I didnt know if he would make it all day in the same outfit.

We finished off the night by going back to Ms. Katie's for a Halloween party and hay ride (minus the hay) through the neighborhood to take all the kids trick-or-treating. Cale did great. He slept through most of the hay ride, but that was ok with me....he wont remember it anyway :)
