Finally good news!

I had my appointment today with the doctor. And even though there is no baby today, I did get a definate date for my induction. Baby Libby will arrive on Thursday....if he cooperates. Now that I have an induction date, he will probably decide to come early. So, at least I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have to call the hospital at 6 am on thursday morning to make sure that they still have a bed (just in case they have an over abundance of women that go into labor). And as long as there is a bed, I have to check in at 7 am for the actual induction. Then the baby will come sometime after that. There is no telling how long it will take to actually have the baby, but I am hoping that since I am already 3 cm that it wont take too terribly long. So keep us in your thoughts and prayers on Thursday that everything goes smoothly and that Baby Libby makes a healthy appearance. I cant wait!!!!!

Going to the doctor....

I have another appointment today. I am truely hoping that I will be far enough along that he will just keep me. I can't imagine that if I am 4 or 5 cm that they would send me back home, but hey who knows. I am trying very hard not to get impatient, but it is killing me. I am miserable. I cant sleep at night (even with half a Tylenol pm I got less than 6 hours of sleep last night). It is pretty bad when you are home for the summer and you are wide awake at 7:30.....and those of you who know me well, know that I am a sleeper! On top of that, my belly hurts! There is no more room in there and yet the baby is still rolling around like crazy! Sometimes it literally takes my breath away because it is so painful. And here is the icing on the cake....somehow I have ended up with a rash of some sort on my belly that itches to the high heavens! So....I dont know how much more of this I can take!!!!

Sorry to vent.....

I am praying for an end to all of this discomfort and the beginning of a beautiful life. Hopefully if you dont see an appointment update later today, then you know I am at the hospital. Fingers crossed and prayers prayed!

The Watermelon!

As always, Mom hosted the 4th of July at her house. We spent the day playing in the pool and just relaxing. That is until Bryan thought it would be hilarious to pick on his very pregnant wife. Here is his impression of me.....if only he really had to carry that watermelon arround he might think twice!

The floors are done!

Our house has been a war zone for the past 3 days, but it is finally back to normal! We had hardwood floors put in our livingroom (which turned out way better than I could have ever imagined) and new carpet put in all the bedrooms. So for the past three days we have been moving furniture in and out of rooms....which I didnt move any actual furniture but I did move all the other little stuff. So needless to say I have been worn out at the end of each day. But now it is all done and we have a beautiful house that is ready for our beautiful baby. He or she can arrive at any time now :)

Bummer.....

Ok....so I call to confirm my appointment for induction on Monday, and it is a no go! The hospital is booked monday, tuesday, and wednesday. The girl at the doctor's office that sets up the appointments was going to check on next thursday! Needless to say I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

So, now I am just praying that I will go in to labor naturally some time between now and then. Keep us in your prayers. I am doing a lot of walking so maybe that will kick it into gear!

Update on Baby Libby

Well....I had a doctors appointment today. All went well. I am officially 3 cm dialated now!!!! We are making progress! I am still having contractions, which is a good thing. So we are hoping for a baby soon. If I have not had the baby by Monday, they are going to induce me!!! That is if they can get me on the schedule at the hospital....I should know for sure tomorrow. It looks like we will have a baby by monday....or sooner if it decides to make an earlier debut! I will keep you posted.....

Watching the train...

My brother Daniel along with his family, Jessica and Caleb, were in for a couple of weeks from Japan for a visit. It was great to see them because it had been since last October since they were able to come home. While they were here we spent a lot of time with them and with my other brother Jason and his family, Jenny and Brody. We had everyone over to the house one night for dinner. Everytime the train would come by (which is about every 5-10 minutes!) the 2 boys would stop and both listen and say "choo-choo" which is their name for the train. Uncle Bryan decided to take them out to let them see the "choo-choo".

Here are a few pictures of them sitting in the front yard just watching the train. It was priceless. He is going to be a great dad!

Shower at church

The church threw us a beautiful shower last Saturday. We were blessed with an abundance of gifts. I was overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone that came. Thank you again!!

Here are some pictures from the shower....

Still hanging in there

It has been an emotionally and physically draining past few days. I am at the point where I feel as if I am going to bust. I dont know if my belly can stretch any bigger. Then there are the contractions. They come in waves. It is just enough to get me thinking that "it is time" and then they stop. I sat up last night from 3 am to 6 am timing them. They were getting into the time spans that they need to be to call the doctor, so I was starting to get excited and nervous all at the same time. I wanted to make sure that it was going to be the real deal so I told myself "30 more minutes and I am going to wake Bryan up and call the doctor". Well in those 30 minutes they slowed down to 10 plus minutes apart and eventually stopped. I was crushed. It is so disappointing and frustrating to think that you are there and then everything haults. I am trying to stay positive and know that they baby will come at the perfect time, but it is so hard. Poor Bryan, I know that he is probably ready to kill me. I have been so moody the past few days. I am so physically ready to have this baby. My body is screaming at me for relief and there is nothing I can do to help it. So for now I just continue to pray that the Lord will give me the strength I need to make it until this little miracle arrives. And until then I am trying not to be such a grouch, but it sure is hard.

Baby update....

So we are now going for weekly check ups at the doctor. I had an appointment yesterday and I am very excited to say that I am 2 centimeters dialated! I know that doesnt really mean much on its own, but I have been having contractions on and off for the past 6 days. Those two things together are very good news! I have had quite a few contractions today and yesterday. They have been coming fairly steady now since last night. Now we just have to wait for them to get closer together. So continue to pray that things will go well. We are very excited and can't wait for our little miracle to arrive. I will keep you posted with our progress....
