The Grocery Game....
Thanks to Hollie for introducing me to the grocery game! Not only does having a baby change your world emotionally, but it also changes your wallet too :) So I have tried to be very cautious with my spending lately. Last week I went grocery shopping (with my coupons in hand) and saved at total of 72 dollars and some change! I must say that I was quite proud of myself. Now I have signed up for The Grocery Game. It is a wonderful website that makes saving so much easier. When you sign up, it gives you a list of items on sale for your store of choice. It also lets you know what items will have coupons in the paper too. So after going through the paper today and clipping coupons and printing off my list from the website, I am ready to shop! I will be sure to let you know just how sucessful I am on my first go round. If you havent checked out the site, I encourage you to do so....it will save you lots of $$$$!

Bath time
We had been giving Cale his baths on a towel on the counter because of his belly cord. Well I am proud to say that stupid thing finally fell off! So last night we put him in his little tub. He really does seem to enjoy bath time. He doesn't fuss or cry anymore. I was not sure how he would do actually being in the water instead of on the towel, but he did well.

I've been tagged!
Thanks, to Kerri, I have been tagged. I am to write 6 quirks about me, so here goes....
1. Can we say organized? All my teachers that I work with give me a hard time because I am over organized at times. Don't really know where I got it from, but I just cant help it.
2. The dishwasher..... As much as I hate to unload the dishwasher, I cant really seem to let Bryan do it. I am very OCD about the way my dishes get put in the cabinets. And Bryan could care less. It is scary how much I really do care. I cant have one cup out of place or on the wrong shelf....just cant do it.
3. "Fireman" or should I say woman.... I love to sleep! I am one of those that sleeps until the very last minute. Then when I get up I am all business to get ready and go. My brother Jason is the same way. He always said we were like firemen because we get up and go. There is no time for tv or most of the time even breakfast (except to take it in the car!). I dont know what I will do now that I have to get myself and Cale ready to go. It is going to be a challenge!
4. Cup of ice.... I have never been an ice eater, until I became pregnant. Even now I love ice. I will make myself finish my drink just so I can eat the ice. And I must say, I too (like Kerri), will wait in line in a drive through for a sweet tea or coke...not only for the drink, but so I can have the ice afterwards. Mc Donalds and Callahan BBQ are my 2 favorites to get ice from.
5. Singing in the Car.... I am by no means a good singer. Not even close. But I love more than anything to crank up the radio in the car and sing my little heart out. Drivers passing me probably think I am crazy, but I could care less :)
6. Routine Please.... As I said earlier, I am very OCD about things. My routine is definately one of them. There is a certain order in which I get ready in the mornings. And I MUST get ready in that order. I think to myself some mornings about changing things up, but I just cant do it. It is really scary how OCD I am about it. I cant function properly if I mess up my routine.
So now that you know all about my crazy quirks, I tag Ashlee. I will be looking forward to your response!

"Fay" - Day 1
With the wonderful "Fay" passing through our area, local schools were closed, which meant that Bryan was home with us yesterday. It was really kind of nice to have him home (with nowhere to go). He was able to spend some Daddy time with Cale...
With it being a long day of being stuck inside, we invited over Aunt Kristin and Uncle Dirty for dinner and movies! The power flashed many times interupting our movies, but we were able to see 2 whole movies before the power finally went out for good. While they were here, Cale and baby Harrison (arriving in January) were able to bond while taking their first nap together :)
Funny Faces
We have tried to capture some of Cale's facial expressions. He has tons of different ones, but here are a few that we were able to catch on camera. Let me just say that I love this boy, he is the sweetest thing ever and is constantly making me smile!!!!!
Nap Time
Rain, Rain GO AWAY!!!
So it has been raining for 2 days straight!!!!! I am over it already! Lucky for us we have only lost power for a short time so far. I know others who are not so fortunate.
The only good thing about the rain is that Bryan has been home for the past 2 days. So he has been working on getting Cale's room painted! Hopefully it will be done this weekend....

2 week check-up
Cale had his 2 week doctor appointment yesterday. He is now 8 lbs 15 oz. He is growing so fast already!!! The doctor was very pleased with his weight gain. He is in the 50th percentile for his height and weight. So even though he gain over a pound in just over a week, he is right at average for his total weight and height. As long as he is healthy I am happy. I went ahead and scheduled his 2 month appointment while I was there, but it broke my heart when I realized that I will already be back at work before I have to take him back again. I dont even want to have to think about going back to work and leaving him. We will cross that bridge when we get there.
I will try and get some new pictures posted soon. I have tons, I just have to get them downloaded from my camera to my computer!

What a summer
Life is always unpredictable. That has never been more true for my family than this past summer. Bryan and I started our first day of summer break by attending his Papa's funeral. His Papa had been sick for a while, but you still cant ever really prepare to lose a loved one. Well exactly one week later, I got the worse and most unexpected news of my life. My Dad had passed away suddenly at home. My Dad had battled and beat cancer in the past year. If we had lost him during his battle with cancer I don't think that it would have been so shocking. But to think that he had fought and won the cancer battle and then to pass away was almost unthinkable for me. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time. To think that my Dad would not see his grandson was crushing to me. But God knows what he is doing. If I had not been pregnant, I would have probably been a basket case. Having that little baby inside me is what kept me going. Now we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, and we thought that life was taking a turn for the better. Well yesterday Bryan's Memaw passed away. Her health had been declining, but we were not expecting her to go so soon.
We began our summer with a funeral, and we will now end our summer with a funeral. I know that the Lord never gives us more than we can handle, but I am really hoping that our family has handled enough for a while. I just pray that Cale will be our saving grace and will keep everyone looking forward. He is certainly a blessing in the midst of great grief and sorrow.

Cale's first trip to the doctor
I know that my life has completely changed. This update is slightly delayed, but I have a little man that keeps me occupied. So I will try my best not to fall too far behind...LOL!!!
Cale had his first trip to the doctor on Tuesday. He was already almost back up to his birth weight. He weighed 7-12 at birth and had dropped down to 7-5 when we left the hospital. The doctor at the hospital told me that he really needed to be eating more to get his weight back up. So I was slightly nervous about what he would weigh, but he is already back up to 7-11. Dr. Hardman was very impressed by that! She said it normally takes about 2 weeks for babies to reach their birth weight again.
Speaking of eating....Cale started off nursing great, but since then has not been so hot. He would eat good during the day, but at night he would not. So at night he was getting up like every hour or so to eat, but he was not eating well enough to get full. I had to start supplementing with formula at night. Well I guess he decided that the bottle was much easier to eat off of, because he decided that he didn't want to nurse anymore. But thanks to Jobeth, I have been able to pump and feed him my milk through the bottle. And he is only getting up 2 times at night now!!!! WOOOHOOO!
So....enough for now....here are some of the latest pictures of little man....

We are home...
Most of you have already heard either directly from us or through the grapevine, but we had a beautiful baby BOY!
Cale David Libby made his appreance Thursday, July 31st at 10:37 pm (after 13 1/2 hours of labor - 2 1/2 of that was pushing!!!)
He weighed 7 lbs 12 ozs and was 20 1/2 in long.
He has a head-full of beautiful black hair. I am going to post one or two pics so that everyone can see. I promise I will get more up later once things settle down.
We made it home earlier today and everyone is doing great. I will keep you posted on our progress in this new journey!
